Tournament Guide

Mesilla Valley Soccer League hosts seasonal tournaments that bring together teams from across the region for competitive and community focused play.

MVSL tournaments are open to registered teams and players and are organized to provide a high quality match experience with certified referees and structured brackets.

Tournament registration, schedules, and updates are managed through LeagueLinq.

The MVSL Open Tournament is a weekend event featuring multiple divisions and fast paced play.

Tournament Divisions

The MVSL Open Tournament typically includes:

  • Men’s Open 7v7

  • Women’s Open 7v7

  • Coed 7v7

Divisions may be adjusted based on registration numbers.

Important Tournament Dates

  • Tournament Registration Opens: January 7, 2026

  • Tournament Registration Closes: February 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM MST

  • Team Representative Meeting: February 27, 2026

Registration Information

  • Teams must register online at:
    https://app.leaguelinq.com/MVSL

  • Registration is completed on a team basis.

  • All players must be properly registered and in good standing to participate.

  • Tournament fees are listed during the registration process.

Match Format and Rules

  • Tournament play follows MVSL rules and applicable FIFA Laws of the Game.

  • Match length, group play, and bracket structure depend on division size.

  • Tie breakers and advancement rules are published with the tournament schedule.

  • Certified referees are assigned to all matches.

Fields and Facilities

  • Primary tournament location is Burn Lake Fields.

  • Field assignments and match times are posted in LeagueLinq.

  • Teams are responsible for checking schedules and arriving early for check in.

Team Representative Responsibilities

Team representatives are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all players are registered and eligible

  • Attending the team representative meeting

  • Communicating schedules and expectations to players

  • Managing player conduct during tournament play

Updates and Communication

  • Tournament schedules, standings, and updates are posted in LeagueLinq.

  • Weather delays or field changes are communicated through the same platform.

  • Teams should check their accounts regularly during tournament weekend.
